AP Fees Policy
- The actual cost for each AP exam is $98, but for Lincoln students, this cost is covered by the state of Florida. While many students across the country must pay for these exams out of pocket, there are certain situations where Lincoln students will incur a $40 fee per exam, as charged by the College Board. These fees are billed to the student accounts of 9th-11th graders. Seniors (12th graders) must pay this fee directly to Ms. Shepard prior to graduation rehearsal.

AP Late Testing Policy
All students taking AP courses at Lincoln High School are expected to take their AP exams as scheduled. However, certain situations may necessitate late testing. The acceptable reasons for rescheduling AP exams are listed below.
Automatic Rescheduling by Testing Coordinator
- Disability accommodation issues or tests overlapping
- Religious/holiday observance
- Two AP exams scheduled at the same time
If you fall under these situations, contact Ms. Shepard to discuss the conflict. In case of a school closure on an exam day, Ms. Shepard will automatically reschedule affected exams.
Situations Requiring Documentation
- Academic or Athletic Event
- For events connected to a Lincoln club or sports team, the Athletic Director, team coach, or club sponsor should contact Ms. Shepard with the student’s name and exam details.
- For events connected to external organizations, students must provide a letter from their coach, sponsor, or organizational president, along with additional documentation (e.g., event invitation or award certificate).
- Emergency (Serious Injury, Illness, Family Tragedy)

- Family tragedies
- Provide sufficient documentation (e.g., obituary).

Situations Requiring a Fee
- Extenuating circumstances not listed above may be considered by Ms. Shepard and administration, but a late exam is not guaranteed. Please contact Ms. Shepard to explain the situation.
- If approved, a $40 late-testing fee must be paid before the test is ordered.
- If not approved, a $98 missed exam fee will be charged to the student.
- If you do not contact Ms. Shepard within 24 hours of a missed exam, you will not be able to make up your exam and will be charged $98, the entire cost of the exam.
